A painful family disagreement has reportedly erupted between late actor Toluwanisings’ father and his wife over where he should be buried.
While his father wants him laid to rest at his house or taken to Ikirun, where his late mother was buried, his wife reportedly prefers a cemetery in Ibadan.
Speaking with deep emotion, his father explained that he lives in a rented single room in Ikirun but insists that if his son cannot be buried at his wife’s home, he should be brought to Ikirun and laid to rest in his own father’s house, just like his mother.
Beyond the burial controversy, his father also opened up about the actor’s background and upbringing.
He disclosed that Toluwanisings’ real name was Sadiq Olayemi Bayonle and that he was born in July 1992. Sadly, he lost his mother when he was just six months old. Following her passing, his maternal family took him in, and he grew up in a Christian home.
His father further revealed that his elder brother played a major role in raising him, helping with his school fees, buying him a bicycle and ensuring he was well cared for.
After secondary school, Toluwanisings gained admission to Yaba College of Technology. While in Lagos, he met the woman who later became his wife through their church choir and eventually told his family about his plans to marry her.
His father said he was happy that his son embraced Christianity, explaining that their family had both Christians and Muslims.
He also described Toluwanisings as a loving brother who maintained a close relationship with his younger half-siblings and supported them financially whenever he could.
But the most heartbreaking revelation? His father claimed that just one day before his death, Toluwanisings had promised to help one of his younger half-siblings get established in life.
He described his late son as a caring child, a supportive brother and a blessing to the entire family.
