Ten passengers have been injured in a multiple vehicle accident on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said the crash occurred on Wednesday morning after a bus stopped to fix a faulty tyre and was hit by another commercial bus. A trailer subsequently rammed into the second bus before leaving the scene.

Emergency responders administered first aid to the injured passengers and evacuated them to hospital for treatment. The affected section of the bridge was later cleared and reopened to traffic.
