According to reports from yesterday’s recovery efforts, no complete human body has been recovered yet. The aircraft itself was found largely shattered into pieces, scattered across the swampy creeks and mangroves where it crashed.
The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Felix Ohagwu, who visited the crash site, described the terrain as very difficult, noting that he had to use a canoe to access the location. He confirmed that what responders are seeing at the scene are body parts, clothing and wreckage littered everywhere, floating on water.
“My men are sitting on the ground, trying to recover the wreckage. Both human parts and plane parts have not been recovered since yesterday… What we see is just body parts and clothes littered everywhere,” the CP stated.
It will be recalled that the aircraft, with 32 people on board, crashed on Monday and no survivor has been found till now.
May their souls rest in peace. 🙏💔
